Safety and Prevention
The Chandler Police Department currently has two Crime Prevention Officers (CPO’s) and one civilian Crime Prevention Specialist. The officers along with our Crime Prevention Specialist all have received certification for the National Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). They are also highly trained in all areas of crime prevention, including personal safety, senior safety, workplace violence prevention, robbery prevention, drugs, home security, and identity theft, to name a few.
The Crime Prevention Officers are here to help communities establish active Neighborhood Watch programs, assist businesses and homeowners with preventing crime and work with the patrol officers to address neighborhood issues along with facilitating problem-solving methods. One of our valued goals is to work with our community and business members in a partnership to prevent and solve crime issues. This team approach has made Chandler PD along with the community members we serve and work with a national model city.
