Online Accident Reports – BuyCrash & CRASHDOCS
- The Chandler Police Department has partnered with crashdocs.org and BuyCrash.com to provide accident reports online.
- Both services provide instant downloads, however it may take a couple of weeks for reports to initially be available on these sites.
- Insurance companies are requested to use one of these online providers.
- If you are unable to locate your accident report on either of these sites, please submit a records request below.
Current Processing Time
- Requests are processed in the order they are received.
- Approximate processing time once the case is completed by the officer:
- Police Reports: 10-15 business days
- BWC Video/Photographs/Audio Recordings: 60-90 business days

Request a Chandler Police Department Letter of Clearance
The Letter of Clearance will provide you with the results of a local search of the Chandler Police Department’s records only. A letter of clearance cannot be requested for another person’s criminal history.
To obtain your own Letter of Clearance, you may submit your request in-person, by mail, or online by following the below steps.
In Person Request
- Visit the Chandler Police Department Records Unit during business hours.
- Provide your valid government issued photo identification (ID card, Driver License, or passport) and pay the $10 fee by cash or card.
- You will receive your Letter of Clearance the same day.
Mail Your Request
- Complete the top half of the Letter of Clearance form.
- Obtain a notarized copy of your valid government issued photo identification (ID card, driver license, or passport).
- Mail a $10 check, the Letter of Clearance form, and your notarized ID to:

The Chandler Police Department does not provide public fingerprinting services.
