Senior Lockbox Program
The Senior Lockbox Program is a free service available to Chandler residents. It is designed to help emergency personnel reach you quickly and safely if you ever need help at home. Each lockbox securely holds a housekey that only emergeny responders can access. If you call 9-1-1- and can’t get to the door, responders can use the lockbox to enter your home without causing damage.
In very urgent situations- such as a fire or when someone is not breathing- crews may need to enter right away and might not have time to use the lockbox. But whenever possible, they will always try to use it first.
This program helps keep our senior community safe while giving families peace of mind, knowing help can reach them when it is needed most.

In order to register you must meet the following requirements:

City of Chandler resident

Senior 62 or older and or:

Must live alone and have a chronic illness, fall risk or history of emergency calls

If you don’t live alone, both must have a chronic illness, fall risk or history of emergency calls
-
The lock box must be able to hang on the screen door and visible to emergency personnel

Or you must be referred by a Chandler Police Officer, Chandler Fire, or medical professional

Eligibility is at the discretion of the Chandler Police Department.

How to Apply for a Senior Lockbox

Step 2: Print the application
Step 3: Complete the application
Step 4: Contact the Crime Prevention Unit at 480-782-4959 or 480-782-4960 for assistance.
Step 5: A Senior Lockbox Volunteer or Community Relations Specialist will review your request.
Step 6: If you qualify, you will be contacted on a Monday or Thursday to schedule a convenient day and time for your lockbox installation.
