Chandler Camera Connect Program

Overview
Citizen-provided security camera footage has become an increasingly valuable tool for the Chandler Police Department in developing leads and identifying individuals involved in criminal activity. The Camera Connect Program provides an opportunity for the community to play an active role in deterring crime and supporting public safety efforts throughout the City of Chandler.
The Camera Connect Program is a voluntary initiative offered by the Chandler Police Department. It is available to both residents – who may choose to register their privately owned cameras – and businesses or community organizations that wish to register cameras and/or share real-time video when appropriate.
For Residents
Registering your residential camera does not provide the Chandler Police Department with direct access to your system. Officers or detectives will only contact you if they believe your camera may have captured footage relevant to a specific investigation.
In many cases, officers must go door-to-door following an incident to locate surveillance footage. This process can be time-consuming, and valuable footage may be lost or overwritten before it can be collected. Participation in the Camera Connect Program allows for faster communication with officers or detectives, helping preserve critical evidence and improving the efficiency of investigations.

For Organizations
Businesses and community organizations in the City of Chandler, Arizona may choose to register their cameras and, if they wish, share real-time video with the Chandler Police Department during calls for service, active investigations, or other public safety incidents.
Providing real-time video, when available, enhances officer situational awareness and strengthens overall response effectiveness during emergency incidents. This increased visibility allows personnel to better assess evolving situations in real time, anticipate potential risks, and allocate resources more efficiently. As a result, officers are better equipped to make timely, informed decisions, improve coordination in the field, and work toward safer outcomes for both responders and the community.
