Citizen Observer Program
About the Program
The Chandler Police Department offers the citizens of Chandler the opportunity to observe with a Police Officer, or Dispatcher.

Dispatch observations consist of a tour of the Communications Center, then sitting with the Dispatcher as calls for service are processed.
You must reside, work, or attend school in Chandler to be eligible. Observers are limited to one ride along per year. Observers must be at least 18 years of age.
How to Apply
The application form (below) must be completed, signed, and turned in to a Chandler Police precinct. Hard copies of the form are also available at each precinct. Precinct addresses can be found here [ Contact ].
Your signature on the waiver must be witnessed by a notary or Chandler Police personnel. Applications without a signature and witness signature will be rejected.
You will be contacted to schedule your observation after a background check has been completed. Please allow two weeks for processing.
