As we welcome the New Year, I want to take this opportunity to thank the community for your continued trust and support throughout 2025. Public safety is a shared responsibility, and it is an honor for the men and women of the Chandler Police Department to serve such a safe and vibrant city.
2025 was a year of continued record low crime for the city and a year of continuous improvement for the Chandler Police Department. We have implemented many changes which are already helping to support our officers in the field, and in turn, enhancing the service that we provide to you.
We expanded our behavioral health unit to better, and more efficiently serve those in crisis.
We have expanded our Real Time Operations Center, allowing us to deliver help faster than ever before.
We have restructured our already thriving records department to fulfill report requests more efficiently, and give our community valuable information about their cases faster.
We created a faith-based advisory board to foster dialogue with some of the most influential leaders in Chandler.
And most importantly, as of the end of the year, The Chandler Police Department is fully staffed with the number of sworn officers budgeted by the City. I can’t begin to tell you how rare that is. Not only here in Arizona, but across the nation.
That is a testament to you! Chandler is a place of destination where people want to come serve and defend this great city. to serve and defend this community. It’s a testament to the quality of life that we have and the culture that we continue to grow here. Not only in the police department, but city wide.
As we look ahead to 2026, our focus remains clear: preventing crime, strengthening community relationships, and continuously improving ourselves.
On behalf of the entire Chandler Police Department, I wish you and your families a safe, happy and prosperous New Year healthy, and prosperous New Year. We look forward to continuing to serve you in the year ahead.
