On Monday morning, April 10, 2017, 23-year-old Michael David Hart and 21-year-old Rafael Santos were involved in a shooting at 590 N. Alma School Rd. Both fled the scene and were apprehended the next day. Hart and Santos were booked into the Maricopa County Jail on numerous charges. On October 30, 2000, 33-year-old Douglas Miguel was found dead under a tree near a retention area in the 400 block of South Nebraska Street. A Medical Examiner’s report determined Douglas died of asphyxia due to strangulation. Douglas was at a local bar the previous evening and was seen in the area during the early morning hours of October 30 with a Hispanic male known by the moniker, ‘Puma’.
