Update: Chandler Police Department is excited to host our next BE SAFE Interactive Event in 2025.
When: Saturday, May 17th, 2025
Where: Chandler Police Department, Downtown Precinct, 250 East Chicago, Chandler, AZ 85225.
Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Audience: Teens and adults with ASD and similar disabilities, their parents, caregivers, teachers, behaviorists, therapists, adult services staff, transition specialists, and school administrators. Chandler Police officers and officers from nearby agencies will be present. Topics discussed in this presentation are relevant to every teen and adult and can even be lifesaving.
Presentation Description: Attendees and Chandler PD officers will watch short scenes from BE SAFE The Movie. Each unit is designed to explore and clarify important concepts and aims to help learners relate personally to the information, develop personal safety skills and apply the information to relevant real-life situations. Together, we will engage in fun safety activities. Topics include what to do during an emergency, how laws keep us safe, how to interact with the police in everyday encounters and learning about officers’ uniforms and safety tools.
