On August 4, 2017, around 3:20 AM, a fatal two-vehicle collision occurred at the Dobson Road and Warner Road intersection. Criminal charges are pending. Investigators believe there are additional witnesses to this collision.
On Monday, July 31st, 29-year-old Robert Lee Antone, Jr. shot a store clerk at the Valero located at 2945 E. Riggs Rd. He was eventually apprehended on the Gila River Indian Community, but not before shooting at officers, and striking a passer-by at Arizona Ave. and Pecos Rd.

On July 10, 2017, an assessment team for CALEA® will begin an on-site assessment of the Chandler Police Department for the purpose of re-accreditation. Your attendance and comments regarding the Chandler Police Department’s ability to comply with the accreditation standards are encouraged and welcomed.
