The Chandler Police Department’s Traffic Unit will conduct a DUI Task Force over the July 4th weekend. The task force will run from Friday, June 30, 2017, through Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
On July 1st and July 3rd, Chandler officers will team up with other East Valley agencies to conduct saturation patrols in select areas. On both dates the command post will be located at 7601 E. McKellips Road in Scottsdale.
Chandler officers will conduct saturation patrols in Chandler on June 20th, July 2nd and July 4th. There will be no command post for any of these dates.
Participating Chandler officers are specially trained in the detection of roadway impairment for excessive alcohol consumption and use of illicit or excessive prescription drugs. Please remember to always wear your seatbelt and to designate a driver when alcohol consumption is a part of your holiday celebration.
