Traffic Unit to Give Four Chandler Intersections Extra Attention in June

In an effort to reduce collisions and save lives, the Chandler Police Department’s Traffic Unit will place a special emphasis on four Chandler intersections throughout the month of June.  Beginning June 1, 2017, Motorcycle Officers will focus their enforcement and educational efforts at the intersections of Dobson and Ray Roads, Alma School Road and Chandler Boulevard, Arizona Avenue and Chandler Boulevard, and Arizona Avenue and Pecos Road.  For the past three years, these four intersections have been in the top 10 for intersections with the highest number of vehicle collisions in the city of Chandler.  Officers will concentrate their efforts at the select intersections during the morning and afternoon commutes, from 7am to 10am and from 3pm to 6pm.

Motorists are always encouraged to wear their seatbelts, obey the speed limit and all traffic signage, and drive distraction free.
