Police Technology Manager, Donny Witt, began his career with Chandler Police Department in July 2019. Donny was originally assigned to the Infrastructure Services Unit of the Police Information & Technology Section (PDIT) with computer helpdesk responsibilities. He moved to the city from Kingman, AZ, bringing with him an expansive knowledge of public safety information technology from over 20 years of experience. He worked with the Kingman Police Department, Kingman Fire Department, and Kingman Dispatch Center. Donny used this experience to aid him in completing certain enterprise-wide projects the Chandler Police Department such as an issued-cellphone implementation and a departmental computer refresh.
In June 2022, Donny was promoted to Business Systems Support Supervisor, leading the PDIT Infrastructure Services Unit to further such projects as vMobile and PDInfo 2.0. Donny’s expertise in organization, planning, infrastructure architecture, and project management is seen daily, more so upon having assumed the duties of the Police Technology Manager in January 2023.
Donny holds certifications in Networking +, Database Administration and hardware certifications which he obtained after graduating from Northern Arizona University with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Computer Science.
