The Property and Evidence Unit is responsible for the secure storage of all items that are impounded by an officer. Items are impounded as evidence in a case, found items that have been turned in to an officer, or items taken from a person to hold for safekeeping until the owner can pick their property up.

Chandler Fire, Health and Medical Department utilizes their Crisis Response Team, or CR288, to assist persons with resources or emotional needs following traumatic events. Once CR288 has assisted on-scene, the Chandler Police Victim Services Unit provides ongoing support to crime victims through the investigative process and criminal justice system. The Victim Services Unit also provides support to all victims of crime, regardless of the referral source. BEWARE – TELEPHONE SCAMS We have experienced an increase in phone scams. These scams include the I.R.S. calling about past due taxes, a local police agency calling about an outstanding warrant, someone claiming to be your friend or a report of a loved one in a Mexican jail, you won the lottery, or other similar type of calls. These people will use fake names, fake businesses, and they will even alter the caller ID to make it look like they are calling from the business they are claiming to be with. These types of calls are SCAMS. If you believe you have been a victim of this type of crime, call your local police agency's non-emergency number to report the incident.

The Chandler Police Department now offers Online Report Writing via our website, www.chandlerpd.com. Online reporting is an optional process for non-emergency incidents. It has been designed for those who wish to conveniently report certain events via our department website. Those who wish to personally report their non-emergency incident directly to an officer may do so by contacting the Chandler Police at 480.782.4130.
