Behavioral Health Unit

The Behavioral Health Unit coordinates an interdisciplinary approach to assisting individuals in crisis to improve their quality of life, reduce exposure to the criminal justice system, and refer them to appropriate community services. To meet these objectives, the behavioral health unit establishes and maintains relationships with community partners and non-governmental organizations to enhance services provided to the City of Chandler. Through education, partnerships, and community engagement, the behavioral health unit focuses on best practices for assisting persons in crisis. The unit is comprised of specially trained and equipped officers committed to safety, understanding, and compassion when working with persons experiencing mental health, behavioral health, and/or substance-related crisis.
