The Media Relations Unit works under the direction of the Office of the Chief and facilitates the flow of information to the community, and monitors social media platforms. The unit promotes positive awareness of the Chandler Police Department to both internal and external customers.

The Media Relations Unit facilitates community transparency efforts by researching and responding to media questions. The unit drafts press releases, processes and releases public records to the media, and publishes photos, videos, and community outreach events for the public on our official department website and social media platforms.

The Media Relations Unit works with other police department units in supporting crime suppression efforts by creating content, targeted media campaigns, and event coordination designed to engage public awareness.
