The Chandler Police Department has joined the Neighbors app by Ring, a home security manufacturing company best known for its outdoor motion based cameras and doorbells. Neighbors is a neighborhood watch app that provides real-time, local crime and safety information. Users can use the Neighbors app to view neighborhood activity and share crime and safety-related videos, photos, and text-based posts.
The Neighbors app also allows users to customize their own geographic area and receive real-time safety alerts from neighbors, local law enforcement, and the Ring team. Residents can text ‘CHANDLERAZ’ to 555888 from their smartphone to download the Neighbors app for free. The Neighbors network already has millions of users and has been instrumental in catching package thieves, stopping burglaries, and keeping neighborhoods safe.
