On Tuesday, November 14, 2017 the Chandler Police Department and the Phoenix Linux User’s Group (PLUG) will host a digital and physical safety training seminar. This two-hour training event will focus on preparation for the upcoming holiday shopping season and what to do if you become a victim of fraud, theft, or other common digital based crimes. The seminar will introduce the tools and tactics cyber-criminals use and techniques and practices you can use to protect your physical money, virtual money, and credit cards.
PLUG is a community based group with the goal of educating the public in digital and cyber security. The seminar is open to any member of the public who utilizes digital or cyber technology for their shopping needs. This event begins at 7PM at the Department’s Desert Breeze Substation located at 251 N. Desert Breeze Blvd.
