Beginning in April of 2014 through October of that year, a string of residential burglaries was reported in south Chandler. Investigators determined these crimes were being committed by the same group of individuals. It was soon determined this crew was also committing burglaries in Phoenix.
Detectives from the Department’s Property Crimes Unit coordinated with Detectives with the Phoenix Police Department. Through this joint effort, leads developed on the suspected individuals and a vehicle. In early November of 2014, Phoenix Police arrested the three suspects: Shawnta Wilson, Armondo Dangerfield, and Demarko Dangerfield.
All three pled guilty to numerous burglary charges. As a result of their pleas, Armondo Dangerfield will serve five years in prison while Shawnta Wilson will serve seven years. Demarko Dangerfield was sentenced to probation.
The Chandler Police Department would like to thank the community for their tips and leads, which led to the apprehension and eventual conviction of the suspects.
