The Chandler Police Department is pleased to announce the graduation of the 52nd session of the Citizen Police Academy, which took place on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the Main Station. During the free twelve-week program, twenty four graduates learned about department operations and police work through classroom instruction, role-playing and accompanying officers during a ride-along during a patrol shift. The course provides citizens with information as to how the criminal justice system and their police department operate, and how police and citizens can work together to reduce crime. Chief Duggan award certificates to our graduates and dinner was provided.
Our next Citizens Police Academy class #53 is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, 2014 and runs 12 consecutive weeks (Wednesday’s 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.) and ends on October, 25, 2014. Registration will begin on Monday, June 30, 2014.
