On May 9, 2014 detectives from the Chandler Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit arrested 34-year-old Edwin Joseph Collison on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. In April of 2014 investigators were alerted by federal authorities that Mr. Collison was involved in a federal investigation involving the distribution of child pornography.
According to detectives, Mr. Collison allegedly took nude photographs of his 9-year-old son, and distributed them online. Mr. Collison is alleged to have posted nude pictures of himself online as well.
Mr. Collison was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, one count of Possession of a Dangerous Drug, one count of Possession of Marijuana, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The victim is in the care of his mother.
