On February 27, 2014 the Chandler Police Department received information that Jeffrey Morgan, a 12 year-officer assigned to the Department’s Traffic Unit, was smoking heroin. A criminal investigation was immediately conducted and Mr. Morgan was arrested on March 4, 2014 for narcotic drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Morgan resigned from the Chandler Police Department on March 7, 2014, in lieu of his termination. The criminal investigation is being forwarded to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office with a charge of one count of Possession of Narcotic Drugs and a charge of one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
