On June 13, 2012 the Chandler Police Department was contacted regarding an accusation of child molestation by Scott Alan Flood, a 47-year-old Chandler resident. Mr. Flood has been instructing karate at various pre-school and day care centers throughout the East Valley for the past several years. On June 15, 2012 detectives from the Department’s Criminal Apprehension Unit arrested Mr. Flood on suspicion of child molestation.
Investigators believe Mr. Flood has contracted his services to instruct karate classes at various pre-school and day care centers in the East Valley over the past several years. Mr. Flood is currently being held at the Maricopa County Jail on two counts of Molestation of a Child. No bond has been set on his release.
