The Chandler Police Explorers Post will host their first Basic Academy beginning on Friday, April 27, 2012 and running through Sunday, April 29, 2012. This Academy replaces the Post’s open enrollment for prospective members. The Chandler Police Explorers Post is recognized nationally for its outstanding programs, including hosting the Annual Explorer Tactical Competition.
The Basic Academy includes program policy, expected conduct, basic police functions, physical fitness, criminal and civil law, and interpersonal communication. Graduation from the Basic Academy will enable applicants to gain status as a probationary cadet with the Chandler Police Explorers Post.
The Academy commences on Friday at 4:00 pm and runs until 9:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday schedules for the Basic Academy are 7:00 am through 5:30 pm.
