On Wednesday, May 11, 2011, Chandler Police Department Volunteer Dave Riggall was honored at the Annual Association for Volunteer Administration of Central Arizona (AVACA) luncheon. Dave was recognized for his service as a Telephone Compliance Volunteer where he oversees the majority of the responsibilities involving the telephone compliance volunteers. Dave has been a volunteer for the Chandler Police Department since January 2010
Dave trains new volunteers, compiles statistics, and handles a great deal of paperwork. Dave has shown a special dedication to the police department and to the community. His efforts allow the Criminal Apprehension Unit detectives to remain on the street and make physical arrests on warranted subjects. In April, under Dave’s leadership, the telephone compliance volunteer’s effort has led to the clearance of 15 City of Chandler warrants, which had a combined bond amount of $10,351.
