After a six month long investigation, Chandler Police Property Crimes Detectives arrested Kevin M. Armstrong of Phoenix for twelve counts of trafficking in stolen goods. A vehicle burglary, from April of 2010, led investigators to target Armstrong. Undercover detectives contacted Armstrong and sold merchandise to him which he thought was stolen. The items sold to Armstrong were donated by Target, Best Buy and Apple Retail who worked closely with Chandler Police during the investigation. Later, another undercover detective contacted Armstrong and purchased the items previously sold to him. On October 18, 2010, Armstrong was taken into custody and charged. In all, Chandler Police recovered $15,000 worth of stolen goods.
