The Chandler Police Department is excited to announce this year’s G.A.I.N. event (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods). Also known as, National Night Out, the G.A.I.N. event encourages residents to get together in their communities to promote safety and neighborhood communication and to celebrate the successes of crime prevention through community involvement. The Police Department’s goal for G.A.I.N. is to strengthen communities by encouraging neighbors to meet each other and to promote safer neighborhoods by increasing crime prevention and safety awareness. This year’s event involves approximately 40 Chandler neighborhoods that will come together on Saturday, October 23, from 1:00 PM – 8:30 PM.
Officers from Patrol, Motors, K-9’s, the Special Assignment Unit, Firearms Unit, Community Services and more will attend the neighborhood parties and be available to answer citizens’ questions. Department specialty equipment will be on display at various venues.
