Planning and Research Internship
The Chandler Police Department Planning and Research Section is responsible for the department’s budget, grant, and forfeiture fund administration, facilities planning, capital improvement program, strategic planning, deployment and efficiency analysis and special project research. The section leads accreditation compliance and policy development. This non-paid internship is for a graduate student looking for an opportunity to conduct a departmental program evaluation and assist with police planning and research functions.
Intern Requirements:
- At least a school semester time commitment.
- At least a 4-hour shift per each day worked.
- Total number of hours predicated on school requirement for college credits earned.
- Hours are flexible to fit school/work schedules – Monday thru Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Unofficial school transcripts.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- An extensive background investigation and fingerprint clearance are required.
