Chandler Police Investigate Fatal Vehicle Collision

MEDIA RELEASE –

The Chandler Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Unit is investigating a two-vehicle collision that resulted in the death of both drivers.

Chandler Police and Fire crews responded to the intersection of South Price Road and West Armstrong Place just after 10:30 p.m. on June 18, 2024.

Through investigative means, detectives have determined that the driver of a grey Nissan sedan who was traveling southbound on South Price Road lost control of their vehicle and collided with a white Ford SUV traveling northbound through the intersection from West Armstrong Place.

Both drivers died as a result of injuries sustained in this collision.

The driver of the Nissan sedan has been identified as 38-year-old Nick Vasquez of Casa Grande, Arizona.

The driver of the Ford SUV has been identified as 34-year-old Sameera Vishwanath of Newark, California.

Detectives are now working to determine what led to this tragic incident.
