On Thursday, April 9, 2020 around 1:00AM the Chandler Police Department received a call of a welfare check from the Circle K located at 6015 South Arizona Avenue. When officers arrived they located an elderly victim with severe injuries. The victim had been robbed and assaulted. Officers also learned the victim’s vehicle was stolen.
A short time later, officers from the Gila River Police Department located the stolen vehicle in their jurisdiction. The driver, 21-year-old Jordan Antonio Sullivan, was arrested and booked into the Sacaton Jail on Gila River charges. During the course of the investigation, Sullivan was positively identified as the suspect in the Chandler strong armed robbery and vehicle theft.
On April 19, 2020 the victim died as a result of the injuries he sustained from the strong armed robbery.
Sullivan was eventually extradited to Chandler and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of 1st Degree Murder, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Theft of Means of Transportation, and Unlawful Flight from Law Enforcement.
