New Details Emerge in 2017 Cold Case

On February 11, 2017, an unknown white male yelled racial slurs and fired a handgun towards a couple walking across the parking lot of 7100 W. Ray Rd.  The male left the scene in a black Chevrolet pick-up into Phoenix where he fled from Phoenix police officers onto the Gila River Indian Community.  Once there, the suspect struck a light pole with his vehicle and fled to an unknown destination.

Investigators recently discovered additional video footage from the night of this incident.  The suspect vehicle has been identified as a 2016 or 2017 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 quad-cab four-wheel drive pick-up truck.  Detectives also confirmed the suspect was not alone in the pick-up at the time of the aggravated assault.  Video confirms a white female was a passenger in the pick-up truck and have obtained video of her.

Investigators are trying to identify this female, who is considered a witness to the incident.  If you have any information regarding the identification of this woman or the male suspect, please contact Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS.  Silent Witness is offering a reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of the suspect.
