The Chandler Police Department is now a participating agency in the Police Foundation’s Police Data Initiative. The Police Data Initiative promotes the use of open data to encourage joint problem solving, innovation, enhanced understanding, and accountability between communities and the law enforcement agencies that serve them.
Through the Police Data Initiative, the general public can now readily access open data information generated by the Chandler Police Department. The Department provides interactive visualization tools and maps, reference documentation, data download ability, and an Application Programming Interface (API) for advanced users. The accessible open data includes calls for service, closed general offense reports, use of force, and arrest/ booking reports.
