The Chandler Police Department’s Traffic Section will conduct a DUI Task Force over the Memorial Day weekend. The Task Force will run from Friday, May 25, 2018 through Monday, May 28, 2018. The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) provided grant funding for the event.
Chandler officers will team up with officers from the Scottsdale Police Department on all four nights with a command post at 7601 E. McKellips Road in Scottsdale. Along with enforcement in Scottsdale, the Department will maintain a DUI enforcement presence in Chandler as well.
Participating officers are specially trained in the detection of roadway impairment from excessive alcohol consumption and use of illicit or excessive prescription drugs.
