On Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in the late evening hours an unknown suspect shot Dominique Vega, a 20-year-old male, while he was standing in the street near the intersection of Arizona Avenue and Ivanhoe Place in Chandler. The suspect fled in a gold colored Toyota four-door sedan. At the time of the incident, the suspect vehicle had distinct damage to the driver’s side rear bumper and no hubcaps. Vega was pronounced deceased at the scene.
On Saturday, January 14, 2017, 21-year-old Chris Anthony Vega was arrested for the murder of Dominique Vega. Chris Anthony Vega, a Chandler resident, was arrested in Phoenix and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of 1st Degree murder.
