The Chandler Police Department’s Traffic Unit has received a $47,000 grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) to fund a new DUI enforcement vehicle. This vehicle will be assigned to the DUI enforcement squad for the enforcement of DUI and other roadway impairment. Officers in this squad are specially trained in the detection of roadway impairment due to excessive alcohol consumption or use of illicit or excessive prescription drugs.
