Ages 14-20 interested in Law Enforcement career
Chandler, Arizona (Wednesday, November 9th, 2016 at 6-7pm) – The Chandler Police Department Cadet program will host a recruitment night at the Chandler Police Chandler Heights Sub-Station, 4040 E. Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, Arizona 85249.
The Chandler Police Cadets is a teen/young-adult program designed to prepare its participants for a professional future in any career they choose. We use the Law Enforcement agency model to develop structure and expectations while instilling the skills to be successful in any vocation. These skills include leadership, supervision and communication. Furthermore, because many of our participants do have an interest in pursuing a police related career, extensive lecture and hands-on training is provided throughout the year in this discipline as well.
With service to community as a cornerstone of the programs goals, cadets participate in thousands of hours of community service each year. These range from small school festivals to large community events such as the Chandler Ostrich Festival. Specific efforts can include traffic control, parking, fingerprinting children, escorting McGruff the Crime Dog ® and supporting Incident Management to name a few.
The recruitment event is an information session, with no commitment necessary. Applications will be available for those interested. There will also be a number of Cadets on hand to answer questions and speak to anyone interested.
