On Saturday, September 24, 2016, the Chandler Police Department is hosting a community event, ”A Focus on Understanding & Hope.” This free community event will focus on creating awareness, removing stigma, and finding resources for mental health, physical or mental disabilities, and addiction. Over 45 organizations will be on site with representatives, information, and assistance options.
Attendees will have access to resource booths, support, and networking opportunities. Speakers will present on topics to include PTSD, suicide prevention, crisis intervention training, addiction and recovery, and overdose prevention.
The event will be held at the Chandler Center for the Arts located at 250 N. Arizona Ave. and will run from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
