A patrol team from the Chandler Police Department will host a public awareness event at Chandler Fashion Mall entitled, Cool Kids and Pets. Members of Team Three, which serves west Chandler as a weekend swing-shift patrol team, will be on hand to speak with the public about the dangers of leaving children and pets alone in vehicles. Along with Officers from Team Three, the Department’s command van and hot rod will be at the event with a special appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog.
The event will take place on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Chandler Fashion Mall pavilion. The public is encouraged to stop by and interact with the Officers. Coloring books and other takeaway items will be available.
