Undercover Investigation Leads To Arrest In Fencing Operation

After a three-month long undercover operation, the Chandler Police Detectives arrested
Tarek Labadi (41 years old) for conducting a fencing operation for stolen property from his retail store, “Leno’s Mini Mart” located at 4750 E. Broadway Road in Phoenix.
Officers were tipped off by Sam’s Club/ Walmart’s Global Investigations Team, who discovered the fencing operation while looking into thefts of their products from the Germann and Arizona Avenue store in Chandler.  Sam’s Club/ Walmart assisted the Chandler Police Department during the operation, which led to the arrest of Labadi.
Search warrants were executed at the store and at Labadi’s residence located in the 2200 block of  E. Roma Avenue in Phoenix where nearly $50,000 dollars in cash and property was seized from along with five rifles and two handguns.

Labadi was using his store to purchase and sell stolen property including, cigarettes, electronics, computers, alcoholic beverages, cigars, personal hygiene products, music headphones, and televisions.
Labadi is being charged with multiple counts of buying and selling stolen property.
