On March 2, 2013 the Chandler Police Department will take part in the second annual Public Safety Day and Department Open House. The police and fire departments have joined forces to showcase the City’s proud public safety heritage. The event will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the police department’s main precinct at 250 E. Chicago Street.
A variety of departmental and city vehicles will be on display along with a car show featuring police and vintage cars. Demonstrations will be given by the department’s K-9 Unit, and Tactical Robot Unit.
Officers from the police department’s many divisions will be available to speak with attendees. Guided tours of the police department will be held every half-hour, and the fire department administrative building will be open to tours for the duration of the event. This is a family event, so come out and meet your public safety personnel at our Public Safety day.
We will also be hosting a Shred-a-thon and prescription drug take back event.
