The Chandler Police Department is hosting its annual open house at the Chandler Heights Substation located at 4040 E. Chandler Heights Rd. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Officers will be on hand from the Department’s Patrol, Special Assignment, and K-9 Units. Police vehicles will also be on display with a demonstration from the K-9’s and their handlers.
Representatives from the Environmental Education Center and the Arizona Game and Fish Department will also be in attendance. During this time the Game and Fish Department will host their third annual urban fishing clinic and outdoor safety event. This event will also showcase Veterans Oasis Park, which surrounds the Substation and Environmental Education Center.
This year the Department has included two additional programs to coincide with the open house: Chandler Police Prescription Drug Take-Back, and a shred-a-thon. The shred-a-thon event will benefit Arizona Special Olympics; donations can be made at the event.
