School Bus Driver Arrested for On-Line Luring of Teen

Beginning on June 24, 2011 54-year-old Phoenix resident James Louis Baker began an online relationship with someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl.  Using the screen name “ILUVCLASSICCARS”, Baker engaged in numerous chats with the girl, saying he wanted to meet up with her and have sex.  During the chats Baker exposed himself to the girl via a webcam.

Baker and the 13-year-old girl agreed to meet at a Chandler park on September 29, 2011 where the two would engage in sex acts.  When Baker arrived at the pre-arranged location, he was taken into custody by Sex Crimes Detectives from the Chandler Police Department.  Baker was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on felony charges of Dangerous Crimes Against Children.   The suspect is employed as a school bus driver with the Paradise Valley School District.

The Chandler Police Department encourages anyone with information about this case, or anyone who may have been contacted by Baker to call 480-782-4130.

For further information contact Detective Seth Tyler.  We would like to remind parents to watch your children’s internet use and be aware of who they are chatting with.  If you suspect your child has been inappropriately contacted call your local law enforcement agency to make a report.
