On August 4, 2011 the Chandler American Legion Matthew B. Juan Post #35 presented the Chandler Police Department’s K-9 Unit with a $6,000.00 check for training and equipment. The money was raised through the 2nd annual Kickstands Up for K-9’s, a motorcycle ride hosted by the Legion on May 7, 2011.
Dana Dobson, Commander of the Sons of the American Legion, presented Police Chief Sherry Kiyler and the Chandler Police K-9 Unit with the funds during a presentation event held at the Post headquarters.
