On August 19, 2011 just after 4:00 AM an alert homeowner caught a man burglarizing his car in the 1200 block of E Boston St. in Chandler. The homeowner provided a detailed vehicle description of the suspect’s vehicle which helped officers to identify and locate the thief’s getaway vehicle a short distance away.
When contacted by police, Ramon Carreno-Ochoa (42) attempted to run from officers, but was quickly taken into custody. Carreno-Ochoa was booked on three counts of burglary and other charges to include possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Chandler Police Department reminds homeowners to never leave valuables in your vehicles, park them in well-lit areas and, if at all possible, keep your vehicles in the garage.
