CHANDLER, AZ- On June 30, 2011, just after 2:30 p.m., David Slatin, a 25-year-old Chandler resident, was driving eastbound on Pecos Road in a white Dodge Neon, preparing to make a left-hand turn into 2450 W. Pecos Rd. At the same time, a Chandler motor officer was responding to a traffic collision across the street from 2450 W. Pecos Rd. The driver turned left in front of the motorcycle officer, who collided with the passenger side of the vehicle. The officer was ground transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. David, who was not injured in the collision, was given a citation for making an unsafe left turn.
