Chandler Police Explorers Host Competition

The Chandler Police Explorers will be hosting the 13th annual Law Enforcement Tactical Competition at various locations throughout the City on Saturday, January 15, and Sunday January 16, 2011.   Explorer Posts from around the United States will be competing in this year’s events.  The competitions include police tactics such as hostage negotiations, building searches, pistol shooting, and other team and individual events.

The law enforcement explorer programs are sponsored through their affiliated agencies as well as through Learning for Life, a subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America.  The explorer program is for youth ages 14 to 20 interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.

The Chandler Police Explorers annual competition began in 1999 and has experienced continued and growing success each year.
