Missing Woman’s Boyfriend Is In Custody And Considered A Person Of Interest In Her Disappearance

On May 28, 2010, the Chandler Police Department was contacted by Sompongse Laiaddee who reported his daughter, Jamie Laiaddee, had been missing for the past 10 weeks.  Chandler Police Officers went to Jamie Laiaddee’s home in Chandler, where she had been residing with her boyfriend Bryan Stewart.  Officers located Jamie’s vehicle and personal effects to include her keys and purse in the home, but Jamie was not located.  Officers attempted to contact Bryan Stewart. Officers found that Stewart had an outstanding traffic related arrest warrant and when he was located in Scottsdale he was taken into custody. At the time he was in possession of a vehicle owned by Jamie.  Stewart provided false information regarding his identity to investigators and through further investigation his true identity was uncovered: Rick Wayne Valentini.  Investigators also found that Stewart/ Valentini had been using Jamie’s vehicle and credit cards for weeks following her disappearance.  Stewart/ Valentini is currently in custody at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office jail, where he is being held on credit card fraud, theft of credit cards, probation violation, identity theft, weapons violations and a warrant.

Investigators are now focusing on Stewart/ Valentini as a person of interest in the disappearance of Jamie Laiaddee.

Police are asking for anyone who knows Jamie or Bryan Stewart/ Rick Valentini or anyone who may have information regarding the disappearance of Jamie Laiaddee to contact authorities at 480-782-4130 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377).  Investigators are also asking that anyone who may have seen Jamie, Stewart/Valentini or any of the pictured vehicles they may have been driving during the St. Patrick’s Day week of March 17th – 18th, 2010 to contact the Chandler Police Department.
